Ayesha’s Best Books of 2022
I constantly feel like there isn’t enough time to read all the books I want to read, and I think my TBR list gets longer every year rather then shorter. In 2022 I read 129 books, and only about 12% of those were 5 star reads, which is 15 books. 15 books of 129 I gave a 5 star rating, so I thought I would break it down for you guys and give my top 5 of those 15 and why I think you should read them.
Love and Other Words | Christina Lauren
I actually read this twice in 2022, thats how good it is. This book has become one of my comfort reads and I often use it to reset if I’m in a book slump. No mater how many time I read this book it ABSOLUTELY WRECKS ME but in the best way. This book gives you all the feels and I am normally not a fan of second chance romance but you cannot help but fall in love with Macy and Elliot. This is seriously a must read for everyone, there isn’t a single person I wouldn’t recommend this too
- Rating: 5/5
- Spice: 1.5/5
- Tropes: Second change romance, friends to strangers to lovers, childhood friends
Wolf Song | TJ Klune
This book honestly surprised me, I am not sure what I expected when I first picked it up but it definitely, was not to absolutely fall in love with this book and these characters. You honestly cannot help but root for Ox, and Joe, this story is just so wholesome. The book starts when they are kids and takes place over years of their life, you would think that would be a little disorienting or not give you the adult content you need, but this book was just so amazing. It was hard not to get engrossed in. I highly recommend, this book is so well written and so hard not to love.
- Rating: 5/5
- Spice: 2.5/5
- Tropes: Paranormal romance, werewolves, fated mates, found family, MM romance
Madness of the Horde King | Zoey Draven
I love me a monsters/alien romance, I stumbled across this series on kindle unlimited randomly and could not stop reading them. The Madness of the Horde king was my favourite but I gave all the books in this series a 4 or 5 stars so you honestly cannot go wrong with any of the. They have just the right amount of steam and plot that they are PERFECT. You do have to read them in order though as it would be confusing for the underlying plot throughout the series to jump right in.
- Rating: 5/5
- Spice: 3/5
- Tropes: Alien romance, barbarian hero, SiFi romance, alpha hero, tortured hero
Book Lovers by Emily Henry
After I read this book I immediately devoured the rest of Emily Henry’s catalogue. This book was a perfect end of the summer read. I loved Charlie and Nora and how they showed a happily ever after that involved amazing careers and having no desire to have kid, thats often not a HEA that is depicted in romance and was so refreshing to read. The dialogue in this book was ON POINT and made me genuinely laugh out loud. The was voted the best romance of 2022 on GoodReads for a reason, if you haven’t picked this up do it!
- Rating: 5/5
- Steam: 2/5
- Tropes: Enemies to lovers, small town romance, slow burn
From Lukov With Love Mariana Zapata
This is another book a read twice in 2022 and it just hits every time. Mariana Zapata is the queen of slow burns so if that’s your trope then you have to read this book. Ivan is one of my all time favourite book boyfriends, this book has a nurse back to health scene, adopted pets (including a pig!) and it just so swoony. It is just such a sweet romance, I don’t know any who has read this and not fallen in love with Jasmine and Ivan.

- Tropes: Enemies to lovers, slow burn, sports romance, it’s always been you
